Hi all! It's good to be here on DA.

I've been an avid gamer and sportman since i was 7; ever the bridge between the geeks and the jocks. After i got certain injuries in 2004 i was forced to stop playing altogether, and leave competitive rugby, basketball and judo. My life felt... empty, i guess.

And then i found cosplay in 2005!

Though the thrill of cosplaying was quite different from the adrenaline rush in sports, it was still exciting to bring a fictional character to life, especially one that i really liked, or from a game i'm a big fan of! I also only started following anime and manga then. I took up bodybuilding right at the end of 2008 after completing my studies.

2012. Life is good. All my hobbies seemed to have merged into one through cosplay. I should be going into competitive bodybuilding in 1 or 2 years time.

I hope you like my cosplays, and that they inspire you, reinforce your love for the series, and also... motivate you to keep in shape. Hahahah. Thank you for your support!

It took me 5years to pluck up the courage to attempt my first caucasian characters. eg Chris Redfield, Thor, Guile. I was afraid of all this shit. This woman's had it much, MUCH worse and she's still going strong. Most people would've snapped or given up long ago. True idol material, everyone.

So many cosplayers have quit, or become paranoid, or have even become "man-haters" because of this.

Cosplayers wearing revealing costumes are not "asking for it".

"FUCK. THAT. That's like telling women not to wear short skirts if she doesn't want to be raped. These characters are drawn in very little clothing due to art direction and wanting to make sales -- and I love them and want to portray them despite what they are drawn wearing. I don't want to be burqa Wonder Woman -- I want to be Wonder Woman in all her sexy hot pants glory."

So I was going through your gallery and I was terribly saddened by one thing. There aren't enough pics of your rather amazing Jecht cosplaying.

Not that there weren't plenty of other awesome cosplays in your gallery. You obviously put a lot of time and effort into them.
